Job Summary:
The Corporate IT Finance Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of the Corporate IT department, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and investment portfolio oversight. This role ensures fiscal discipline, optimizes resource allocation, and supports the strategic objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate combines financial expertise with strong analytical and operational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget & Financial Management: Oversee the department's budget, forecasts, and expenditures (headcount, contractors, hardware/software, projects). Ensure compliance with financial policies and standards.
- Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Facilitate stakeholder meetings, update forecasts, and communicate variances. Develop reports and dashboards to enhance financial visibility.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess investment outcomes.
- Investment Portfolio Oversight: Align investment strategies with corporate goals and support project evaluation and prioritization.
- Performance Metrics & KPIs: Define and track KPIs for IT investments, providing insights and recommendations.
- Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Drive cost-saving initiatives and enhance financial efficiency through benchmarking and best practices.
- Financial Modeling & Scenario Planning: Build models and conduct analyses to evaluate long-term financial impact.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Contribute to budgeting and long-term financial planning.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with financial analysts, project managers, and others to support data-driven investment decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Build relationships across IT, Finance, and leadership, providing financial updates and supporting change management.
- Process Management & Optimization: Streamline financial processes, implement tools for better tracking, and identify automation opportunities.
- Training & Development: Mentor staff on financial processes and maintain consistent documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Several years of experience in IT financial management or portfolio oversight.
- Experience in PMO or project management, with strong process optimization skills.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across departments.
